One Layer Card Class

Happy Monday! The sun is shining, a glorious day!

Yesterday we managed to squeeze in a quick card class..one layer, simple cards. I forgot "pics" of the 4th card...everyone got to play and design their own card using  Inlaid Embossing. Hope this inspires you to get out your supplies and play.....these only took an hour to finish!

A Week Away!

I've got a new job this week...moved into town to care for my two oldest granchildren! I had forgotten how tiring it is, making meals for choosy eaters, laundry and running the roads to their different activities. I did have a rest from the driving on Tuesday, as my grandson is taking Drivers Ed..so he wanted to drive to the school and back.....he did really well..I warned him not to scare his Nana...he said not to worry "I don't drive fast"....teehee!
We also have a new addition at their house, Stewie, a smorky puppy, who is adorable but adds to the looking after, unlike Oreo (Guinea Pig) who just squeaks to be fed and watered.
I did bring my cardstock to prepare for class on Sunday, April 3rd, 1-3pm. We will be making 4 one layer cards and I will post pics afterwards. If you signed up I'll see you there, otherwise until next time, Nana duties call...Enjoy the sunshine!

March Card Class

Spring is giving us some lovely sunshine but our temps have to catch up! Our class this week was a selection of cards for different occasions. Baby, wedding/anniversary and sympathy were the themes this time and 10 of us got together on Monday evening and 2hrs later VOILA!!!

Happy Birthday!

 Today my favourite grandaughter is an official teenager...Amelia turns 13...this is the card I made to celebrate the day! The inside is in recognition of her dance classes. Happy, happy Birthday! 

Wonderful Weddings!

On Sunday I spent a lovely afternoon with friends making Wedding Invitations...sorry no pics of those..the bride-to-be was thrilled with the results! Whilst there I had borrowed (used) a couple of dies, punches...so as a thankyou I made a sample for my friend...hope she doesn`t mind me sharing these with all of you.

The little box holds a small candy or kiss and you can fill the rabbit with lots of ideas!

These cards were made with samples from a sheet of DP with the images and stickers ready to use...not StampinÙp but`I had someone in mind when I spotted them...

All or Nothing

Do you like my post title....I seem to go sooooo looooong without giving you all something to read or see and then it hits me...I haven`t taken pics or updated and had better get to it! These next pics came from me being able to spend time at my craft table just playing for me but if you see something you like I can show you how it`s done in a class! Hope you enjoy them!

Easter Class Samples

We thought Spring was in the air soooo...we had a great time making Easter cards. Today we are back to snow flurries but better weather is just around the corner..right? Enjoy the springlike samples!

Spring is in the air!

Today the snow is disappearing! The temperature has warmed up and I hear the sound of melting snow! The pheasants, jays and chickadees are all back to the feeders...just waiting for the first robin!
Tomorrow class is for Easter, makes my heart sing to be using those lovely spring colours. I'll post the cards and treat holder after class...don't want to spoil the surprise for my girls who have signed up...keep watch!

It's a Date

I'll be having class at my place this time...Saturday, Feb. 26th at 10am! You will need scissors and your favourite adhesive. You can bring a snack to share, I will have drinks and snack also.

Stamp-a-Stack

Ok, I know it's late in posting...the date for our next stamp-a-stack is Saturday, February 26th.... spots are filling fast and I'm still not ready!
Anyone who wants to take this cold I have, so that my head will clear, it's going free! How's that for a deal? tehe...

Snow, Snow Snow!

I finally got away from snow duties and into my craft room. Workshop card designed and made for Kenda's next week, hostess gifts done!
Now, WATCH this SPACE....I will know tomorrow about the date for Stamp-a-Stack....2 cards already done, 2 more to go.
If you want to know what a SAS is.. you make 12 cards, 3 each of 4 designs. Everyone loves to recieve a homemade card and these ones are all occasions/birthday cards, so no more running to the store as you'll have them close at hand!

Super Bowl Sunday

No, I don't have a prediction for the game...haven't been a follower of the teams...go figure! I just wanted to post a thankyou to my friend, Gaynol, for a great afternoon making some wonderful cards and sharing time with girlfriends...Oh by the way, Happy Birthday Darlene! We were so happy to share part of your special day with you!

A New Twist

I found a great new twist on making an easel card. Monica Gale was the gal from where the idea originated but I changed the stamp set and the colours. The card is larger than a standard size so am working on adapting it for a future class...what do you think?

Follow Me..a plea of a desperate stamper!

Another snowy Sunday, at work at my stamp table making my gifts for my 5 "pay it forward" friends....Hope they like it..I will post pics after they've recieved them!

Box in a Bag

This is my version of box in a bag.. I needed something to giftwrap a decorated candle and this is what I came up with. The tutorial I found on Splitcoast but had to change the measurements to fit the gift....I hope she likes it! What do you think?

Tags til Christmas

Sunday afternoon we got together for a pre-Christmas social and to make some last minute tags for our gifts. As usual, the camera was at the ready but the "operator", that would be me, never thought to use it until after everyone had gone home! These pics of the tag samples don't do justice to the great ideas the girls had using their own ideas!

Last Technique Club

Babysitting

We had a lovely couple of hours with my grandson, Adam, tonight whilst his Mommy and Daddy went for date night. Who wouldn't love playing with this cutie?
